What a treat! Between your and Mike's photos and narrative, I almost feel
like I've had that wonderful experience, too. Thank you so much for
sharing...

WOW Mike, what great pictures. Thank you for sharing. Barbara do you think
Mike has Dorothy's magic shoes to get him to Japan? For all of you it must
have been an amazing trip and how wonderful your show sold so much work.
Congrats!
Now maybe we can get more international member pictures. Or at least
descriptions, what a beautiful place to visit. I want to go see Murilo in
Brazil though.

Dear Mike,
Thank you for telling your story into moku-hanga - it is utterly
inspiring and interesting!
I think your next exhibit should be called "Out of the Blue".....for so
many of the unexpected doors
that have opened and continue to open for you and in honor of your
passionate prussian prints.

LOVE that title, Bette! Plan to steal it without attribution and call it
my own...

Oh, Hell! I neglected to mention (among other things including Julio's
Skokie Library exhibits) your generous editing me into a featured artist on
Simply Haiku !!

That's the problem... So soon we forget! :-)

Speaking of Mike and his art, I'd like to add that his enthusiasm for
an art project doesn't stop with his own projects. He and I shared
many an email (attached with scanned sketches) when I was working out
an idea for one of our past exchanges. I scanned in some drawings
and Mike played with them, using his own software, and along with some
written enthusiastic comments, he emailed them back. We had a lot
of laughs along the way, and I have never had so much fun playing with
another artist. I felt he wasn't just doing it to be nice, but that
he had the same enthusiasm for the project that I did. Thanks for
that, Mike. I still think about the momentum we had during that
project and think you must be one of the most exciting instructors your
students could ever have.

Hi, Marilynn, please come when you wish.
And thanks for showing interest in come.
You were right in the other message about
Floripa: when I wrote the message I was
thinking in doing a Summit here - well,
not me doing, but YOU ALL doing a
Summit here like KC , - better Mike Lyon
doing, he is
so organized, must be Virgo like my daugther...
But, dear Marilynn, I fogot the word Summit...
couldn't remember.

Floripa is a most beautiful place, and it will
be wonderful to have you here. All or one or
one or all or one for all and all
for one....

When I said that I wll take you to
shows and lectures and workshops, of course,
I was thinking in Baren People to TEACH US, and
to shows your prints, and you giving talks.

Thanks to Sharri , Myron ,
Bill , Marilynn , Sharen Linder, Dave Bull
and Carol Lyons for reading my invitation
and giving me a feed back.

I love Baren and all
and I am a great admirer of all the artists here
and Mr David Bull too that I consider a great
master and always working for us to see
and I don't intend to be offensive, never,
because I believe in democracy.

Best wishes,

Murilo Grisard Pereira

Dear Murilo,
Thank you so much for your kindness and invitation to Brazil. If it is
ever possible for us all to come to see you and plan a Summit there, I
would try my hardest to come. I appreciate your friendship through this
wonderful group that we all make together....Baren. We are so fortunate
to learn about woodblock from each other and to nourish our friendships
with people of other countries and cultures. The amount of
encouragement that we give each other is outstanding! - just like
Gayle's story she just told us about Mike Lyon's generous help he
offered her on a project.
Many warm wishes always,

No... I'm dead-center Gemini! A total slob and completely
disorganized... I just 'pretend' to be organized in the forum and in my
printmaking -- but that's only my Gemini nature!

Can you really pull off a Brazil Summit, Murillo? It's a ton of work but
very fulfilling to play host to so many! I was sorta looking forward to a
JAPAN summit, myself!

Well... That WAS FUN, wasn't it! But I didn't really 'do' a thing -- just
enjoyed our back and forth so very much! I'm blushing from your too kind
remarks!

Congrats to Mike and April, I enjoyed having a quick look at your adventures and successes in Japan and look forward to spending a bit more time looking at everything - Mike, also loved hearing the story about how your exhibition happened, I think there's something to the concept of karma, right!

Bravo!!
